Louis & Suzanne DiPasquale
Artwork & Photography
Lou DiPasquale is a photographer from Frederick, MD who specializes in outdoor scenes comprising architecture, landscapes, seascapes and plants.
An extended New England vacation was Lou's inspiration to rekindle a long-abandoned interest in photography after a 30-year hiatus. Many of his images are characteristic of the Connecticut, Vermont, New Hampshire, Maine, Rhode Island or Massachusetts countryside and seashore. His body of work also includes scenes of Frederick, MD and other mid-Atlantic destinations.
Lou has a post-graduate degree in the biological sciences and has always had an interest in the most recent technology. His current photographic methods include the use of RAW digital images and digital processing techniques to capture and produce the entire dynamic range of color and contrast as seen in nature. Lou's point of view as an artist is to use composition and lighting to draw the viewer's eye into the frame and to have his camera faithfully reproduce what the human eye sees without introducing artistic interpretations or unnatural digital enhancements.
Lou is a member of the Frederick Arts Council, the Frederick County Art Association, and the Delaplaine Visual Arts Education Center. His work has been on display at the Delaplaine Visual Arts Center, the Frederick Community College, the Frederick Arts Council's Cultural Arts Center, and the Frederick County Chamber of Commerce.
