Japanese Print Restoration
The Museum Shop, Ltd. recently acquired a valuable woodcut print from the famed Shin Hanga artist Kawase Hasui. The print, called Snow at Mukojima, was in less than optimal condition, and showed clear signs of damage and acid burn-in. As can be seen in the following photos, the restoration effort by conservator (and Museum Shop owner) Richard Kornemann was a success!

Mr. Kornemann is happy to examine your art at no charge, by appointment, at the Museum Shop, Ltd. The vast majority of his restoration work is on pieces with largely sentimental value, owned by people who wish to pass a beloved document or photograph on to their children or grandchildren.
